Make a Difference Sri Lanka, MDSL has been a registered charity since its inception in 2011. After retiring in 2016, Kumar, the director/trustee dedicated three years to empower vulnerable communities affected by the long-lasting aftermath of a 30-year civil war in Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka.

MDSL, a registered charity since 2011, is committed to rebuilding the lives of communities in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka that endured the devastating effects of a 30-year civil war, which finally ended in 2009. We are dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable members of these communities through education and sustainable development.

Current Projects
Education: Our education projects support over 50 A-Level students who are financially assisted and tutored to sit for their university entrance public examination. We provide not only academic support but also nourishment, easing the burden on both students and their families. Education is the key to a better future.
Integrated Farming - Vilippu Koottu Pannai: This groundbreaking farming initiative fosters sustainability and cost-effective farming techniques. It generates employment opportunities, provides training and certifications, and reinvests surplus income into similar projects, ensuring ongoing development for these communities.
